Thankfully, we could get in with Dr. Allen the day after calling. He was great. He explained everything and put our minds at ease. “He was exceptionally pleasant, listened, explained what he was doing, the X-rays needed. After X-rays were completed, he told me what was indicated. The ultrasound was taken 3 weeks prior and showed a Baker's Cyst below the right knee in the calf. This was a symptom. The cause was arthritis in the R knee & the ligaments & tendons had torn. Thus liquid leaked out, formed the Cyst & also created crystals in the knee, thus the pain. Then he gave me a shot of prednisone & said this would take upwards of a week for all pain to subside. All this was extremely important to me as the Mankato Family Practice Doc did nothing for 3 weeks after the ultrasound, which she ordered. So I appreciated Dr. Allen's care & approach.”
