“My experience with Sports Medicine North was an A+. I broke my wrist on January 21st. My primary care physician (Dr. Jeff Gold) referred me to Dr. Prokopis on the same day as the injury. At first, I was terrified of surgery, and Dr. Prokopis waited to see how the bone would heal. He said I was on the cusp of possible operation, but he knew my fear. Two weeks later he made the call to have surgery (the Ulna bone was not healing appropriately), and I was still scared! The procedure was outpatient and was quite straightforward even though my blood pressure was a tad high (still scared-lol). The Doctors, nurses, and staff were excellent. I had a plate and eleven screws put in my wrist two days after the Patriots Super Bowl win. My recovery was a tad behind because everybody reacts differently to surgery. I was a bit scared about this, but I listened to Dr. Prokopis, and I was lucky enough to see Ms. Tatum Fahs for rehab. One thing you have to do if you break your wrist is rehab. You have to do exercises. There is no lollygagging around when you break your wrist. The bedside manner that Dr. Prokopis gave me throughout the process was top notch. Tatum was incredible as well. I fell very fortunate. As for me now, on August 27th at times, I almost feel like my wrist is stronger. For example, I had my best golf round in a few years this past weekend. Weird you don't have to go to Boston to get your wrist done. I highly recommend Dr. Prokopis and Ms. Fahs.”

“I went to SMN this morning for carpal tunnel syndrome. I was greeted promptly by intake receptionist. Given papers to fill out and turn back in. Almost immediately, I was in getting an X-ray and right in to see Dr. Prokopis. The entire visit with all those components took 35 minutes. I was very impressed!”

“When I started dropping things, I knew it was time to pay a visit to Dr. Prokopis. In the past, I have had several positive outcomes for other hand/elbow issues which Dr. Prokopis dealt with in a non-surgical approach. When my carpal tunnel symptoms rapidly advanced, Dr. Prokopis ordered an EMG test. The results confirmed the severity of my CTS and surgery was suggested. I only wished I had visited sooner. My hand immediately ceased "falling asleep" after the surgery. I am 3 weeks post-op, and my hand continues to improve with time. Dr. Prokopis has a great bedside manner. This was particularly evident when I received a phone call from him the next day to see how I was feeling (please call after 7:30 am next time:). Though I am not looking forward to getting my left hand done later this year, I do feel more at ease knowing Dr. Prokopis is treating it.”
