“My son, Parker, is on the autism spectrum which made our first broken bone experience extra tricky. From the Albany Med Pediatric ER, the entire ortho staff was courteous, professional, informative to both myself and in a simpler form, to prepare my son for every step. Dr. DiCaprio and his team made a "bad break" to a 12-year-old, and his frazzled mom seems routine, and I felt good leaving him in their hands for surgery. At our follow-up appointment, the nurses, x-ray tech's and Dr. Kevin Powers were extra patients with a very anxious boy. Overall, under the circumstances, it was a pretty great experience with no complaints. At age 12, and with a younger son also, I'm sure there are a few more broken bones in our future, and I will look forward to the established relationship with Dr. DiCaprio and his team.
