“My experience with Vero Orthopedics began with excellent text communication with Jenifer. I do not have traditional insurance, but I have MediShare (a medical cost-sharing plan). Jenifer confirmed that the provider accepts the partnering PPO and that it would be less expensive than the self-pay rate. With that, I decided to schedule an evaluation of my knee. Jenifer was able to get that all done via text and was patient with scheduling and answering all of my questions before my arrival the next day. The facility was nice and clean. The staff was well-organized and greeted me with a smile. After checking in, I did not wait long before my buzzer went off, and Beck brought me to the exam room. She took my history information, and not 2 minutes after she finished, Dr. Arrojas arrived. I explained my discomfort, and he did a physical assessment of my knee. He ordered an x-ray and said he would return after the x-ray to look over the results. Dr. Arrojas left, and the x-ray tech/radiologist arrived shortly after to take me in for imaging. I do not recall her name, but she was pleasant and efficient. She walked me back to the exam room, where Beck was awaiting my arrival, and Dr. Arrojas came in to review the images with me. After some discussion and creating a plan of care, I had considered a knee brace; however, accepting a knee brace through Vero Orthopedics would depend on my out-of-pocket cost. After determining which brace I might get, Beck confirmed with MediShare and PHCS network that it would be covered with no out-of-pocket expense. So, yes, I did get the knee brace for use during high-impact activities. My overall experience with Vero Orthopedics was excellent from start to finish. Qualities that stood out to me: I felt validated in my pain, the doctor spent time communicating with me and never seemed to be rushing out the door to the next patient. I didn’t feel pressured into any further assessment or treatment. The quality of care and thoroughness of the exam left me satisfied and confident in the next steps. Each person I encountered was friendly and personable.”
